Boys First Redskins Game - Preseason 2009 vs Pats

My how the years fly by. 2008 already. Another son born in 2006. Figured I would do a quick update. We moved only a quarter mile in 2006 right after Jaxson was born. We love our home and hope to remain there at least until the boys are grown. Noah has graduated High School this year. My health is stable but will always be an issue. I am getting every last ounce out of my hip. I enjoy playing with the boys, watching Liam with football, updating and playing games on the PC. I also like watching movies with Erin and playing the wii. We currently do not bowl but still geocache from time to time. I had a chance to switch jobs this summer and make more but felt with my seniority (10 years) I was better off to stay put than to put all our eggs (Erin's company) in one basket.

I helped my Mom move this summer from the old apartments I lived at in Doylestown years ago to a nice retirement community in New Hope near my Aunt whose health is not good at all these days.

Jaxson is a delight and his speech, thanks to classes that have taught us as well as Jaxson, is progressing almost normally now. Liam is so much fun. He is an artistic dreamer with a very silly side to him. He is trying flag football this season much to my delight. I will never push the kids for things I want but I want them to finish what they start. Success can never be measured by what is not attempted or finished. His team is the Raiders just like mine when I played Pee Wee back in 1971.

I still have my little Pug Rita even though she has Mast Cell Cancer it has stayed local and dormant in a tumor on her paw for almost two years now. She is such a sweet little thing. Ashy the Greyhound and Cleo the Boxer, full of piss and vinegar, round out our doggies.

So life is pretty quiet these days. Busy but quiet and very fulfilling in a tranquil way. I have had some good years this decade mixed with some heartbreak over illnesses and the loss of my Grandpa who meant a lot to me has a boy. I still try and keep ties with all my Pennsylvania friends who are very dear to me. I am attending my Best Friend, Paul's wedding in a couple of weeks and am honored to be his Best Man as he was mine. So life is good. I wouldn't trade it though because I see the small family I have grow everyday as my love grows for them.
