Maurice Cahen
Maurice Cahen: born in France,
studied classical guitar while playing jazz in the Paris area. He traveled back and forth to Spain where he discovered
his love for traditional and contemporary Spanish music. Maurice, has toured and played in Music Festivals in Europe, Israel
and Brazil.
In 1982 Cahen moved to Boston to study composition and improvisation. Maurice, co-founded
Elysia Chamber Players, Performing Baroque, Classical and Contemporary music, he also composed and published chamber music
for this ensemble. Mr. Cahen, created " Reflection", a jazz quartet featuring original work; "Brazilian Serenade" performing
Choro and Brazilian compositions.
Maurice Cahen teaches guitar instruction in classical, electric and steel
string guitar. He also instruct in music theory on harmony, composition and improvisation. Maurice offer chamber
music coaching in flute, violin, oboe & guitar repertoire.
