ST. MICHAEL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA
THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you:
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Meditating on the Stations of the Cross continues a custom widely observed by pilgrims to Jerusalem who offered prayers and meditation at a series of places traditionally associated with our Lord's passion and death. Placed on the walls of the nave and sanctuary of St. Michael's Episcopal Church are bronze reliefs of fourteen events associated with Good Friday. We present images of them here for your meditation.
To proceed directly through the fourteen stations, you have only to click the arrow in the lower right of each page. You may go back one station by clicking on the arrow in the lower left of the page. Should you wish to exit the process completely, you may click on the links at the bottom of the page. If you wish to jump to a station other than the immediately preceding or succeeding one, you may use the back button on your browser.
We intend to add bible verses and or prayers to each station and to enlarge the images. If you wish to suggest an uncopyrighted prayer or meditation, please e-mail it to kgcook1@verizon.net.
