Jesus frequently put children at the center of his ministry, and we aim to do the same here at Christ Church. Through our education and fellowship, we hope to welcome everyone, of every age.

For Ages 3-10, September through May. Godly Play starts at 10 AM, running concurrently with the Sunday service. The children join us for communion. The program was developed by Jerome Berryman and has its roots in the educational approach started by Maria Montessori.  Godly Play gives our children the opportunity to engage with God and with the story of God's people in the Bible. Godly Play consists of gathering in a circle on the floor, listening to a story, asking questions, and then the children choose their "work" ( i.e., art materials or the ever popular 'sandbox' desert.) Rather than imposing answers or meanings, Godly Play invites children to “wonder” about the Biblical stories, in the circle and through their "work.  We finish with a “feast” before joining the congregation for communion.

The youth group meets on Sundays immediately following the 10AM service.  Ages range from middle school to high school.  On Sundays we have lessons and activities.  We also have special events which have included volunteering at a local homeless shelter, harvesting vegetables at the Lincoln Food Project, Rock Climbing, White Water Rafting and much more.  New members are welcome to join at any time.  Please contact the church office for more details.

We also offer a "quiet room" for babies, where parents can take their children during the service if they need a break. It's not a staffed nursery; you must stay with your child.
