The CWV National Headquarters also publishes the "Catholic War
Veterans' Newsletter every four months in January, May and
September, which provides information about the many Posts
and the national offices throughout the US to more than 10,000
CWV members. See the CWV.org web site for details.
ANNUAL DUES: Each year in September the annual
dues
reminder are mailed to members and should be returned
no later than the do date in October to the Post Treasurer.
If you miss the due date we will be glad to honor a grace
period until the end of the current Post Year.
If you wish to remain in communications with the Post,
send us a message with details of you status.
Life members (85 and over) who pay no dues are ask to send
a notice of their current membership information to keep
Post records current. The 2012 dues are $5 more or $30
per year. Life membership must be applied for and is for
members who have been with the CWV continuously for
at least 5 years. All members are encouraged to make a
voluntary contribution to support the post when they send
in their dues and annual response.

MEETING AND ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE:
Members hold general membership meetings on the third
Monday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Library in Saint James
Church School.
Monthly Scheduled Meetings:
Normally run from
September through June. At the regular meetings of the Post
1652, the Officers provide a summary of activities for past,
present and future meetings. All members of the Post are
encouraged to attend and take part in these activities.
Members should make sure the Post has your current mailing
address and e-mail address so we can keep you informed of
changes in monthly and special meeting schedules.

The monthly Winter-Spring meeting schedule is shown
in the Meeting list on the right side of this page and occur from
January through June.
There are no regular monthly meetings in July and August.
Our Membership Drive outreach is held in May and September.
Our Annual Summer Picnic is held in July or August.
The monthly Summer-Fall meetings schedule is shown
in the Meeting list on the right side of this page and occur from
September through November.
There is no regular monthly meeting in December. However,
Our Post Holiday Party is held in December
Post Activities:
During the Holidays each year the Post
holds a Holiday Dinner with music at a local restaurant to share
cheers with members in December. Members may want to
participate in the Founder's Day celebration held annually at a
local cafe to celebrate CWV membership with friends and
guests in May.
In March the Post members participate in the Annual Arlington
Diocese Spelling Bee for students in elementary schools in
our parishes. The student who have been winners were
awarded certificates and monetary prizes by the Post 1652
members for first, second and third place in the competition.
The Post members may also join us in May at the Falls
Church Memorial Day Gala begining with a Mass at Saint
James Church, the morning Memorial Ceremony at the Falls
Church Community Center and followed by a City Parade
held after noon.
Post members in August may participate in the annual
Summer Post Picnic which is held at a local resturant in the
Falls Church community.
The Post 1652 members in November always support the
US Military Troops with routine visits and acts of charity
at the Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in Northern
Virginia and Washington DC at the local military posts.
Every November on Veteran Day Post 1652 members have
a special mass at St. James Church with a flag salute to our
veterans followed by a reception in the Church Hall.
At 11 AM the post members attend the Veteran Day Salute
at the Falls Church City Community Center to honor those
who have given the altemate measure to their country
especially those lost in the Mid East wars. Members also
invited to attend the Arlington Cemetary Services on Veteran
Day to represent the Falls Church CWV Post 1652.
The CWV Post 1652 is also a member organization with the
Greater Falls Church Veterans Council (GFCVC) since 2007,
which also have Veterans groups from the American Legion,
and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in greater Falls Church area
of Northern Virginia. The Council meets once a quarter at the
Falls Church Community Center. (see future web site -coming).
