INVESTIGATIONS INTO MAINE'S GREATEST
UNSOLVED MYSTERIES

Extremely Bizarre Update:
The town of Bucksport is known for its strange occurrences,
for its bizarre tales of murder and mayhem.
Then there is that really strange occurrence that baffles the mind.
2 weeks ago, days after my book focusing on the Red Paint People, with brief mention of Cemeteries of these ancient people
being discovered when the foundations were dug for the town, and another one in the place known as Tannery Point, eventually
where the present day Mill stands now. 2 weeks ago, a flock of crows descended on the town, crows that do not normally flock
this time of year. My place of business was hit hard, with little care packages that every bird leaves behind.
In this case you might say, buildings, trees, railings, walkways were all covered. This alone, you might overlook it
and in some cases expect it.
Saturday the 27th, another strange crow incident occurred. Early
morning before dawn, the power went out for 3 towns, Bucksport, Verona and Orland. For some it came back on 4 hours
later, for others 8 hours later. Normally you'd think snow, ice, wind might be the cause of such an outage. Not
in my neck of the woods. When quizzing an electrical employee, he informed us that the sub-station located at the Mill,
from which all power runs in and out, was actually devastated, lines down, transformers blown, all thanks to the hundreds
of crows that decided to pay a visit, many were left behind, in smoldering piles.
Purely coincidence I'm thinkin!

The almost mythic Witch's Leg, Maine's most well known Urban Legend?
The more I dig into Bucksport's History, the more subjects
I get for wild books. If you think about it, you have the witch's curse, a wildly believed and never dared disputed
made up story by a news reporter in town to cover the Sarah Ware Murder investigation in 1898.
You have a elephant named Charlie that ran amuck in 1892, for 2 weeks.
You have a Sea Captain, that was convicted of murdering 3 and burning
their home down.
Then if you really dig deep, you find that the town is actually built
on a Red Paint Cemetery and the first Archaeological Dig in the State of Maine, maybe the Country was at Indian Point, where
the Mill stands today.
A town with so much bizarre history, and stories, might be well worth
writing about. Then again, being the big TV fan I am, seems like a show, back in the late 80's about a town, with a
murder that detectives were hunting for a killer. What was that show, it was rich in Native American Mystique, had White
Lodges and strange happenings every week?
Ah, yes that was it, Twin Peaks.
Now if Maine had such a thing, Bucksport seems like the likely spot.
After All I did coin the phrase, "Bucksport is a Haven for the Supernatural." Sure it was a play on words, since I do
live here, and so it is my haven.
So if Bucksport is Maine's Twin Peaks, don'tcha think we oughta have
Twin Peaks overlooking the town. Hmmm?

I rest my case! NEXT!
