It's a good idea to get organized and establish a routine for studying vocabulary.
Vocabulary Template:
Each week you will be assigned 5 words. This sounds pretty reasonable to me! ON Day 6/12 we will check
in with you to be sure you have looked up the words, understand the meaning and can identify a few synonyms (same) and
antonyms(opposite) for the word. Sometimes this can be tough and you will try to draw a picture . Sometimes it is totally
impossible! One of the most important aspects of the assignment is to use the word correctly in a well developed sentence.
So, allow yourself enough time to write good sentences. When you read over your sentences ask
yourself, "Does it sound right?"
Study the words:
I like to make flashcards or draw a picture. Some people like to remember the word in a sentence.
Some students like to practice before the quiz and visit my flashcard machine. Whatever your preference...
you must study the words because every 15 words ( or 3 weeks ) we will have a quiz.
