Look Back... at the Short Story Unit :
We have read many short stories this year and become quite
familiar with the Elements of Short Story, and Understanding Types of Conflict. We discussed different kinds of questions.
Types of Questions; Interpretive, Evaluative or Factual
Questions.
We learned how to use two Reading Strategies ;visualization
and questioning.
As we begin to read the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear
my Cry written by Mildred Taylor please continue to apply the skills you have acquired from the previous Unit. You
will also begin to expand your vocabulary, and understanding of many new literary devices.
The slide show is a work in progress. Every year I try to improve it,just a little.
