The
Ladies Basic Pistol course is an ten-hour course designed especially for ladies. For many women it can be intimidating to walk into a shooting range or training facility for the
first time not knowing how to shoot or even how to properly handle a firearm. Many who want to learn to shoot may not simply
because they don't know where to turn. The Women Only classes at Maryland Firearms Training Group
is the perfect opportunity for women to learn about firearms in a comfortable and fun environment where beginners are welcomed.
So,
if you have had little to no experience with a pistol, then this is the class for you. We will cover the topics of gun safety, gun handling, the various types of pistols, the fundamentals of pistol
shooting and marksmanship, pistol
firing positions, practical exercises on the firing range, cleaning, and proper storage.
Also,
included in this course will be detailed discussion on laws governing firearms, how they affect your ability to use a firearm for self-defense, and less than lethal alternatives. This course concludes
with live fire at a local range
practicing all the skills reviewed in class.

and to provide information on
the law-abiding citizen's right to self-defense.
