This is my 1967 Mustang that I WILL restore. This diamond in the
rough once belonged to my Grandfather. He was not the original owner but he owned the car as long as I can remember.
When he bought the car it was in need of some work, all which he was capable of doing himself. Once finished, this pony
was riding strong. After some time the '67 started showing signs of wear and tear. Eventually, she became so worn
out that she could no longer be on the road. Pop never gave up on her. He started collecting parts for her, some
new and some repro, to one day get her out running again. Before he could really dig into the restoration, he became
ill. He was no longer able to do the work he once did, and not too long after, he passed away.
After aquiring the '67 and giving it a good inspection, I realized that she was suffering
from what many vintage mustangs have already gone through. A leaky cowl, rusted out frame rails, a bad engine paint
job, and what seemed to be a million bee's nests were some of the issues I was up against. I will be teaching myself
as I go because being only 30 years of age, I wasn't alive when these cars were new. This is going to be a long project
as I will be learning to weld and to rebuild a C4 transmission. I'm pretty handy with an engine and I am grateful to
have a few family members who know their way around a block (that's engine block), more importantly, a 289. It may take
a few years and a few pennies, but with determination, this mustang will ride again.

Ok....here is the latest.
I did some more work on the cowl and have the passenger side primed and ready for paint.
I'm holding off on the driver side until I complete the power disc brake upgrade. I also rebuilt the power steering
control valve. I purchased a complete suspension package and have finished the installation on the
front. It's time to start working on the rear. I'm going to replace the old fuel tank and install a new rear suspension
as well. I'm dreading it, but sooner or later, I have to start doing the body work. In the mean time, I'm enjoying
my birthday present which is the '07 Mustang GT that the wife bought for me. I'm so lucky. I hope to have updates
posted more frequently when Spring gets here...HURRY UP, SPRING!!! I WANT TO PUT THAT TOP DOWN!!!
More to come!
