I think that travel comes from some deep urge to see the world, like the urge that brings up a worm in an Irish bog to see the moon when it is full.  ~Lord Dunsany

After breakfast we headed out to do some laundry as we only took 5 days worth of clothes.  There was a local launderette just a couple of blocks away, however the instructions were in Dutch but we were lucky enough to meet an English speaking woman who helped us out and got us going.  Later, we headed into Amsterdam and tour the Heineken Brewery before meeting with our group at 6pm in the hotel courtyard.

Today was our first full day of touring.  We were all up pretty early, ate breakfast, and then met in front of the hotel (8:15am) for a walk to the train station.  Our tour guide, Ben, gave us an orientation of how the train system worked and where we would be headed to.  We were visiting the Anne Frank Museum, a walk though a residential neighborhood, an old convent community, Dam Square, a public art gallery, lunch atop a mall, the Rijksmuseum, canal tour, a red light district walk-thru, and then back to Haarlem.  A very busy day with plenty of walking.
