Our latest vacation was the best ever!
David and I really wanted to see Europe but we just didn't know where to start. One Sunday morning, after watching
Rick Steves on PBS for the hundredth time over the past several years, we decided to book a 21 day trip with his tour company.
What could be better than a trip to give us a good overview of over 11 cities and towns from the Netherlands, down though
Germany, Austria, Italy and then up to Switzerland and into France!
We left Boston for Amsterdam on Tuesday, June 21, 2005. We flew Iceland Air so we had a quick stop over
in Iceland and then continued on to Amsterdam and landed around 12:30pm. We decided to make Haarlem our home base at
the Joops Hotel - the entire group was to meet at on Friday, June 24th at 6pm. We spent the 23rd and 24th exploring
around Holland, heading down to Delft, Gouda, and Den Haag on our own.
