The West Virginia football playoffs are divided into three classes: A, AA, and AAA with A being smaller schools and AAA being the largest schools.  Records are grouped into Team and Individual records.  The records are grouped into two groups: Preliminary rounds and Championship rounds.  The preliminary rounds have evolved into a set of three rounds in order to qualify for the championship game in each class.  The championship games in W. Va. are designated as the Super Six.  These three games are  played on a single weekend in Wheeling, WV.

 

     The stats and records are assembled and compiled at the direction of the WVSSAC, the governing body  for athletics in West Virginia.
