Mummies Unbound

The Keeper, my little mummy story, has been accepted for publication in My Little Book of the Dead! I’m really excited to be amongst the group of authors in this anthology. I don’t have the official list of authors, but I do know it will be nicely balanced, including stories by some names you might know from reading my blog and introducing some authors newer to the publishing game. I heard through the grapevine that my sly old pal Dean Master has submitted a story. No one’s heard from Dean since I was putting Adumbra together.

On another note, for those who enjoy the crime and suspense genre, BJ Bourg is launching a quarterly e-zine in September called Mouth Full of Bullets. It’s absolutely free with no subscription required. I’ve enjoyed BJ’s fiction, so I’m looking forward to this latest venture of his. You can find Mouth Full of Bullets here.

Till next time,

Jill.

Anthologies Abound!

The waiting has paid off.  The Cosmo Effect has been officially accepted for inclusion in The EX Factor to be released on October 13.  I’m thrilled to have my two stories included with those of Frank Zafiro, Katt Dunsmore, BJ Bourg and others.  I know their imaginations are easily as twisted as mine, so readers ought to be in for some great fun with this book—just in time for Halloween!

I’m also just about finished with my mummy story for My Little Book of the Dead.  Check out the mock-up cover art for this book.  Deana Hoover is not only editing the book, but she painted the awesome mummy pictured.  I’m excited about the potential line-up in this anthology, too.  More about that when I get official word of acceptances from Deana.

(Just as a quick aside, mark your calendar for September 19.  It’s annual Talk Like A Pirate day!  I plan to participate this year.  For details, visit Cap'n Slappy here.  Might be fun, matey.)

Till next time,

Jill.
