The thrill of having a submission
accepted for publication never gets old. My flash piece Summer Vacation was just
published at DZ Allens’ Muzzle Flash. Gotta love the subtitle to this fun ezine: Pulp and Degenerate Flash Fiction. Come to mama! I have to work on my pulp, but degenerate has
been right up my alley for years. Love it. Thanks, DZ!
You can find this quick story
(and several others!) here.
This is actually my second flash
fiction acceptance for 2007. I haven’t announced the other one yet because it won’t be published until June. So I’ll continue
to keep you in suspense. You’ll just have to check back here or subscribe to my newsletter to find out where to read more
of my work.
Having a flash fiction piece
published is one of my goals for 2007. I have 3 other goals, each more ambitious than the first. It’ll be a busy year, but
that’s good and I’m looking forward to all I want to do.
And while
my fiction keeps rattling around in my head and sometimes falling out of my fingers, work has officially begun on the Black Horse Pike! Thanks to Mark Plocharski, I have my first photo for the book and several
pages of historical facts. Thanks, too, to Washington Township Mayor Paul Moriarty who directed me to Bob Timmons who has
his pulse on the local history. I hope this is a sign of good things to come
from other towns along the Black Horse Pike.
Till nex time,
Jill.
