Mid-Atlantic MADness Agility Instructor
"Three Equals One Free" Rebates
The Rebate:
Instructors in the sport are eligible for a rebate equal to the entry fee for one
titling class for every three Starters/P1 classes
entered by two or more of their students.
Limitations:
- The instructor must complete the form at the bottom of this page
and submit it either by mail or email by the closing date of the trial.
Rebates will then be issued at the trial or mailed following the
closing date.
- A 'student' is a team consisting of a handler and a dog.
- The instructor/student relationship must be unique. That is
- two different instructors cannot claim the same student. If
this occurs, the trial secretary will contact the handler and ask them to identify the instructor for that team.
- Instructors may not claim themselves as a student.
- Only Starters or P1 classes entered as of the closing date count towards the instructor's total claim.
- The rebate form must identify at least two unique handlers and dogs.
- If the instructor is entered in the trial, the rebate will take the form of cash.
- If
the instructor is unable to attend the trial themselves, they
may submit the rebate form in lieu of an entry and instead request
their rebates in the form of entry vouchers that can be used at a
future MADness test.
(Note that vouchers apply only to titling classes and not to
tournaments).
- The maximum rebate issued to one instructor for a single trial is limited to 16 rebate fees/vouchers.
- This
rebate offer applies to the Mid-Atlantic MADness trial offered on
September 19th and 20th, 2009. Closing date for this trial is
September 2, 2009 and the entry fee for one titling class (and
therefore for one rebate unit) is $13.
Examples:
- Jack, Jill, and Heather enter a dog in the trial.
Each
enters two Starters or P1 classes on both Saturday and
Sunday. That makes a total of 3 x 2 x 2 = 12 separate entry
fees. Their instructor Barbara also enters the trial and submits
a rebate form identifying her students. As she has entered one of
her own dogs in the trial, she qualifies for a rebate of 12 / 3 =
4 rebate units (i.e. $52).
- Suzy, Jane, and Sam enter their dogs in the trial. Suzy
enters 4 P1 classes on Saturday and 2 P1 classes on Sunday. Jane
enters 2 Starters classes on Saturday and 2 Starters classes on
Sunday. Sam enters 2 Starters classes and 1 Advanced class on
Sunday. Their instructor, Dan, is unable to attend the
trial. Before the closing date, Sam has to pull his dogs from the
event. As of the closing date then, the following entries qualify
toward's Dan rebate: 6 classes entered by Suzy + 4 classes
entered by Jane = 10 classes. Since Dan is not entered in the
trial, he instead receives 10 / 3 = 3 vouchers. He uses the
vouchers at a test event 6 months later.
- Laura
enters 2 dogs at the trial. Laura is currently training her dog
"Racy" with instructor Sally and her other dog "Bobbin" with both
Sally and instructor John. Instructor Sally submits a rebate form
identifying students Laura/Racy and Laura/Bobbin. Instructor John
submits a rebate form identifying student Laura/Bobbin. The trial
secretary contacts Laura. Laura identifies Sally as the
instructor for Laura/Racy and John as the instructor
forLaura/Bobbin. The rebates are applied accordingly.
- William enters his dog "Stryker" in 7 Starters classes.
Instructor Nancy claims William/Stryker on her rebate form.
Stryker has some good weekends prior to the MADness trial, earns a AD,
and moves Stryker into all Advanced classes. Nancy's rebate still
applies, since Stryker was still entered in Starters classes as of
the closing date of the MADness trial.
- Ten
of Instructor Nancy's students enter a combined total of 120
Starters/P1 classes. 120 / 3 = 40 potential fees/vouchers.
Nancy is issued the maximum 16 rebate units for this trial.
