191 Main St., the Simeon Fuller house circa 1838.
In 1825 Jabez Shumway, yeoman, sold 3 acres of land along Main Street to Simeon Fuller, a prosperous local trader.  Simeon built his dwelling house on the corner of Main and High Streets, and in 1834 sold land (189, 187, 183) along Main on the east side of his homestead.  Later in 1851, he sold ¾ acre of land on the south side of his homestead to the Town of Medway for School District #4.  Simeon married Nancy Hartshorn of Franklin in 1821.  They had a daughter Harriet b.1822, son Simeon b.1824., and another daughter Nancy b.1827.  Mrs Nancy Fuller died in 1828, and Simeon remarried Mrs Mary Abagail Mann.  All 3 children were baptized in 1831.  In 1878 Fullers children inherited his 2.25 acre homestead of dwelling house and barn "situated near the West Parish Meetinghouse…beginning near the Turnpike Road near Bullards Tavern" (192-198 Main St).   Elihu White bought the land from the heirs.
