For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face
to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 1 Corinthians 13:12 (KJV)

Christ is in our midst.
Grace & Peace to you. I have assembled this
site in order to share some of my recent endeavors as an iconographer. I started writing icons after I took a class
with Peter Pearson in Pittsburgh when I was a senior at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry. I had wanted to write
icons for many years, but I thought that when I gave up my membership in the Orthodox Church to become an Episcopalian, that
door was closed to me. Then I met Peter, who was more than happy to teach me and who worked in a medium I was familiar
with - acrylic gouache (as opposed to egg tempra, the traditional medium which has been employed by Orthodox iconographers
for 2000 years). Peter has perfected a method that allows the iconographer to replicate egg tempra's translucence by
applying color in layers. By the grace of God, I have used this method to write a number of icons; some are now part
of church collections and others hang in my home.
Please feel free to copy, paste and print any of these
images. If you would like a higher resolution picture, do not hesitate to ask me, and I will e-mail you the file.
I have to admit that the photos here are nowhere near as crisp and beautiful as the original artwork. There is only
so much you can do with a digital camera, even on a sunny day. I pray that you will be as blessed in your viewing
of them as I was in writing them.
To Him be all Glory, for ever AMEN
