Rumors, rumors, rumors about BISFA Recently, my remarks about the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts reported in a Herald-Mail candidate profile
have raised some questions from BISFA students. Don't believe the rumors. Click here to see where I stand. Thanks to everyone who has talked with me in person.
See my profile in the WAMU (American University Radio) Voter Guide From the site: "The WAMU 88.5 voter guide lets you compare candidates, make your selections and print
your choices or access them from your mobile phone in the voting booth for the Nov. 6 election."

Welcome!
On September 9, 2011, I
filed as a candidate for the Washington County Board of Education. No last minute filing for me! My decision to run was not
based on who else was or was not a candidate. I decided to run because I am passionate about learning and public
education, and I have a sincere desire to put my knowledge, time, skills, and talents to use serving the county that has been
my home since birth.
Five individuals have filed for
four seats so there was no Primary for the BOE candidates. The General Election is Tuesday, November 6, 2012. I ask for
your vote on election day and your support throughout my campaign.
With thirty-five years of dedicated
service to Washington County’s students and their families behind me, I pledge to use my experience, knowledge, skills,
and passion to work on behalf of all children of Washington County. If I am elected to the Washington County School
Board, you can be sure that I will be diligent in working to ensure that our children have the best educational opportunities
to prepare them for their futures.
I look forward to opportunities
to meet you in person. Until then, I'll use these pages to introduce myself and share why I think I'm worthy of your confidence
and your vote.
If you have any questions, please
use the contact information found on these pages. Let me know of the good things that are happening in our schools, issues
or shortcomings that you think need to be addressed, and/or any concerns that you have about the current state of WCPS.
Sincerely,

|
