Please do not leave animals, or pets, behind during a disaster. Theres no way to tell what maay happen while your gone. Wich could stretch to days or even weeks. Animals left behind could become malnourished, dehydrated, or crushed by collapsing walls. Or even drown in flood waters. They may drown, decide to escape in fear and become lost. Please do not leave your dog or cat in your car, or tied up outside a store or other place. Even if you only plan to be there "for a minute." They can be stolen for research. If left outside, your pet could be attacked, injured or even killed by other animals or by cruel, heartless people who think they have nothing better to do than harrass and mistreat innocent creatures. Your pets are much safer at home.

If you know of an animal being mistreated, PLEASE do something. Even if your not sure. Please contact the local Humane Society. And yes it is your busness. You are just as much to blame if you do nothing.
