Quixote Entertainment LLC is a privately-owned corporation that was established in November 2005.  Our principal purpose and business is to produce theatrical motion pictures.  The company plans to develop and produce films that uphold the recent trend of critically acclaimed and commercially successful independent films.

We at Quixote Entertainment believe in providing our filmmakers with the freedom and resources to realize their art.  We bring together those people who we believe to be the finest filmmakers with the goal of making films that excel in terms of quality, success, and message.

We rely on our strong background in both business and the craft of storytelling to guide us to those artists who understand the creative opportunities available to them within genres that appeal to a wide audience.  So far, we have had the opportunity to work with some of the most creative minds in the fertile environment in Texas, and we hope to continue to foster those relationships while pursuing others.  Our relationship with these great artists was won by matching their dedication and integrity with our own, working year after year toward the shared goal of making a significant contribution to the world of entertainment. We´re grateful for the opportunity, and we look forward to similar experiences in our future projects.

Wade Rowland, President and Producer

Wade graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded a teaching fellowship to pursue a Ph.D. in English at the University of Texas at Austin. Wade earned an MA in English from University of Texas, where he taught for six years. During that time he received a Project Quest grant, was nominated by his students for the Harriston Teaching Award two years in a row, and was awarded the Todd-Barnes Prize for his master’s thesis, which was then published in the Library Chronicle literary journal. Despite the many honors, he left academia to pursue a career in film. Since then, Wade has written screenplays for hire, served as a reader for the Austin Film Festival’s Heart of Film screenplay competition, and as a panelist for the Spindletop Film Festival. He has appeared in or worked on the crew for many film projects in the Austin area. His acting work has appeared on HBO, National Geographic Channel, PBS, and at hundreds of festivals worldwide. Wade is also producing two other projects, the first a supernatural drama and the second a mock documentary – which he is also attached as writer – for Emmy nominee Nancy Schiesari. Wade founded Quixote Entertainment in November 2005.
