MY MONSTER

Troy Athens, a venomous movie star, destroys not only the vestiges of a once-thriving film career but also his marriage when he storms off the set of his wife Kelly’s science fiction film and wrecks his car in rural Texas. Troy has abused the cast and crew so thoroughly that the makeup artist has sprayed sealant of his prosthetics. So Troy, rendered mute and helpless in his alien costume – complete with enormous teeth and claws – wanders into the wilderness looking for help.

When three orphaned siblings, Savannah, Oz and Clyde, come across the masked thespian in their junkyard playground, they knock out and hogtie what they think is the Curtis Creek Monster that they’ve been hearing rumors about since they can remember. Desperate to escape their perilous foster environment, the kids embark on a journey to a local conspiracy wacko in an attempt to sell their alien to the CIA.

But before the kids can complete their goal, the murderous junkyard owner Lindell kidnaps Oz in an attempt to retrieve some important stolen merchandise. When Savannah and Clyde conspire to free their brother, Troy risks his life to help rescue the youthful trio from certain doom.

My Monster is a story of the power of imagination and redemption. Its themes of wish fulfillment will appeal to children while its strong character arc and love story will reach the hearts of the adults in the audience. In the tradition of family classics like E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, The Goonies, and My Dog Skip. My Monster’s commercial allure comes from its spectacle, humor, and high-stakes suspense while its moral core harkens back to the enduring classic To Kill a Mockingbird.

COFFIN MAKERS

LOGLINE: A young woman visits a small town where a family of “Coffin Makers” is never short of business. They create new customers the old-fashioned way – they kill them.

SYNOPSIS: We meet MICKEY O’HARA, a pretty young woman in her late teens, as she hitchhikes through dark, wooded country one quiet night. When a BLACK CADILLAC HEARSE drives up out of the murk, Mickey hitches a ride.

But the hearse’s driver, SCHLOM, is a mountain of a man with the pallor of a corpse and a personality to match. And in the back of the hearse is a coffin, and inside that coffin are two bodies --one dead and one alive.

Schlom drives Mickey to SCHINDLERSTADT, a small town owned by one family and devoted to only one purpose --- making coffins. But this “coffin capital of the world” appears to be uninhabited. There’s not a soul visible on the berg’s single, dark street.

In the company’s “showroom,” a chamber filled with every style of coffin and casket, Mickey meets GARMAN SCHINDLER and his daughter DAMARIS. Elegant and refined people, they enjoy discussing a family history that dates back to the I880’s. “You must visit our factory,” Garman insists as he offers Mickey a glass of Remy Martin. “You’d be amazed at what we can accomplish.”

But Mickey is unable to respond. As the glass of doped brandy slips from her fingers, she slumps to the floor. Mickey has been given, well, a mickey.

Our heroine awakes to find herself in what appears to be a perfectly normal, single-family home. Only this “house” is buried twenty feet underground with bricked up windows and doors, a unique prison for two teenaged girls, RITA and KRYSTAL, and a couple of young guys, TERRY and IRWIN. Schlom captured them all, and there were other kids living down here before they all arrived -- but the monster man took them away.

Mickey immediately springs into action, and finds a novel way to free them. Unfortunately, a high, electric fence surrounds the town, and the kids find themselves trapped in Schindlerstadt.

As the giant Schlom pursues them, our heroes soon learn the Schindlers are not your usual mass murderers. They're not even human. They're creatures of the night, werewolves. But they want to pass as ordinary people so they tan their victims' hides for use as human disguises.

Will Mickey and her new friends survive the night? Will they escape being skinned alive in the Schindler's factory? Will we ever learn Mickey’s terrible secret?

To find the answers to these questions, you must visit Schindlerstadt, the coffin capital of the world. If you have the courage!

DARK HALO

LOGLINE: A vicious gang of bandits invades a bank run by and for vampires.

SYNOPSIS: The Trey Clay gang is the most dangerous band of bandits in the country. They’ve taken down more banks and killed more people than Bonnie and Clyde. When they invade a sleepy little branch of the DHB, or Dunkle Heilgenschein Banc (Dark Halo in English) in an isolated town, they think this will be one of their easiest scores.

However, the DHB is not your usual financial institution. For one thing, it’s open all night. For another, its customers are few and far between.

Convinced the DHB is a drug bank, the gang invades it one night to find a staff of three and a single customer, none of whom seem very concerned about the robbery. In fact, these people are downright bored.

Nonetheless, TREY CLAY and his people quickly take over, looting the cash drawers and breaking into the vault to find very little money but rows of strange deposit boxes. Triangular shaped. Refrigerated. Filled with bags of blood suspended on steel hooks.

Trey and his people quickly learn they’ve taken down a blood bank operated by and for vampires... very powerful, rich vampires that quickly surround the facility with a strike team. They tell the robbers to leave and they won’t be harmed, but it can’t be that simple. Not when the single customer in the bank has ideas of her own – ideas that could lead to the destruction of the human race.

In an ironic turn, the desperate bandits trapped inside the DHB must work with its staff to save the world. It’s Dog Day Afternoon meets War of the Worlds, and the banking business will never be the same.
