The Native American Indian Farmers for thousands of years were the Stewards of Cocoa and made drinks
and Candies of it, using Spices and Vanilla to make it a pleasurable dessert, they certainly were exceptional in
their Treat. They the Native Indians of the Americas deserve a Treaty of Respect, we are asking all Chocolate Companies to
place at least a one sentence honorable mentioning of these facts of history!
This one sentence or more of honor and respect would be placed on all Chocolate Candy Boxes and wrappers
Example of one sentence of respect to be placed on all packages of Chocolates:
"Because of our Wonderful Native American Indian Farmers, who for tens of thousands
of years were the Stewards of the Americas, the Stewards of Cocoa and more, we are Chocolate lovers because
of Their Industrious Natures". ******************
The shorter version:
"Remember our Wonderful Native American Indian Farmers, we are Chocolate lovers because
of Their Industrious Natures". ******************
Please send a letter to http://www.hersheys.com/contactus/ or, and telephone supporting the fact of our Native Peoples, let Hershey know we desire
to see honor to be given to them, with a Treaty of Respect!
Please copy and paste the above example with your opinion to Hersheys, thank you and continue to volunteer.
"Cocoa was an important commodity in Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica. Spanish chroniclers of the conquest of Mexico by Hernán Cortés relate that when Montezuma II, emperor of the Aztecs, dined he took no other beverage than chocolate, served in a golden goblet and eaten with a golden spoon. Flavored with vanilla and spices, his chocolate was whipped into a froth that dissolved in the mouth. It is reported that Montezuma II may have
consumed no fewer than 50 portions each day, and 200 more by the nobles of his court".Wikipedia
The Native American Indians had their Land stolen, their Identities stolen and even their Candies and Hearts.
