My Sterling was originally built in
1975, it sat storage for three decades. In late November of 2003, she was delivered by way of Indiana. When the car arrived
she didn't run for more than 5 minutes, none of the gauges worked, the tires were the dry-rotted, 35 year-old Bias Ply Kelly
Chargers that the car was originally built with and the exhast was a rusty mess. I began an on-going quest to make the Sterling
road worthy and worthy of her sexy lines.
Many people ask where are Sterlings made? Are they the same Sterling from
the 80's and are they still available. Well...one question at a time:
Today Sterlings are produced in Pennsylvania and can be found on the web under
the name Sterling Sports Cars.
This is not the same company from the 80's - that was an Engish Company...my
car was produced by the original American owners of the Sterling manufacturing molds...California Component Cars - an American
company.
