Dog Talent is sponsoring....
Dear Friends
As many of you know, I had shoulder surgery
last week. I tore 3 spots in my right shoulder saving my Bella, Oscar & Riff from a pit bull that got loose and started
charging and attacking them. The most important fact is that my babies are ok, not a scratch on them
This is why I did not send out a newsletter
last week, and this is just an invitation, not a full newsletter, I am still weak, but getting better each day!!
I have attached the invite to an event
that we at....
BELLA STARLET
DOG TALENT &
NEW YORK TAILS MAGAZINE are proud to sponsor and be aligned with....it is THE ANANDA & JOHNNY PROGRAM
.... a wonderfully genius idea for a new non-profit organization to pair inner-city kids with rescue
dogs
We hope to see all of you at the party
on Tuesday night, May 2nd!
Please feel free to forward this newsletter
to your friends. The more, the merrier! There will be great wine, food and a silent auction too!
We are happy to have you as our friends!
The Ananda & Johnny Program is a new non-profit organization
that looks to pair inner-city kids with rescue dogs from shelters. As these chiildren lack the financial means to care for
a pet of this sort, A+J would provide all food, materials, vet bills and training costs... and the initial group of 5-6 kids
and their dogs would meet on a weekly basis with a professional trainer. It's believed that in caring for a furry companion,
kids gain confidence, the capacity for empathy, higher self-esteem etc.... They'd gain a peer group of like-minded kids, too!...
and the world becomes a better place for all of it! Check out our website at www.AnandaAndJohnny.org.
Our first official fundraiser happens this coming
Tuesday evening (May 2) - a Spring Wine Tasting benefit! It'll take place at "Tasting World" a new Manhattan wine venue
owned by Dilek Caner (formerly the sommelier at Alain Ducasse) - great, open, loft-like space where she conducts courses
in wine. Gourmet Garage has donated the cheese/crudite platters, one winery has been extremely generous... and we're
accumulating a small table of wine, gourmet and dog related silent auction items.
Hugs
& Woofs,
Beth Joy & Bella
Enjoy this beautiful day
