Jessie Foster
Dancing for me began
back in early 1984. Jeff Bartholomew took an interest in me and started me on a path that literally took over my
life. It was something that I did every day, every where I went. I’m sure that people thought I was a little
nuts. But that was all right. I had fallen in love and my love was the love of dance.
I began competing and
won numerous titles in the Country and Western world of dance. In late 1992 I began teaching for the franchise
studios of Arthur Murray. For 7 years I taught and began a Professional Ballroom dancing career. It was also while
at Arthur Murray that I received my first certification by the WPDTA. This really added validity to what I saw myself
doing for the remainder of my career.
Upon leaving the franchise
studio business I began teaching as an Independent Contractor in numerous places. My goal was to eventually open my
own studio. On January 2, 2006 that goal became a reality. I now own and direct "Jessie Foster's Ballroom Dance
School."
