We had a great day at Tomahawk on Sunday, on a good-n-rough old-style MX track.
From reports of those who came by Saturday and what I saw in a few spots Sunday morning, we made the right decision
to postpone. Thanks, as always go to Chad and all of his track crew for getting things into
raceable condition yesterday, this morning, and even (maybe expecially) for beating the ruts back into submission at various
times during the day today. Terrific job, guys. And now for the race report...
To those who came, thanks! We had
138 entries today, slightly more than our May race at Tomahawk and another good turnout despite having to move the race back
by a day. Everyone I came in contact with seemed to be having a good time riding and racing, much better
than we could have hoped for yesterday in the muck. Thanks for coming out and participating.
To those who couldn't come, apologies... It's
never easy or good to change a scheduled race date. There are always things that can't be moved, and we
know going in that some few people will be impacted. With the goal of doing the best we can for the
most people possible, we changed the race date to 6/7 rather than cancel, shift to another weekend, or run in truly ugly mud
conditions. If you were one of those who could not make it today, my apologies.
Pictures, anyone? I'm leaning towards writing
up today's event for submission to Motorcycle Racing Action, and it would help if I had a good picture or two to send along
with the article. Anyone who has a good pic that you wouldn't mind being included in an article (with
full credit, of course), please send it to MastersMX@verizon.net .
Take the summer off for good behavior.... Our next events are:
Blue Diamond on 9/12 and Rocket Raceway on 9/19. Be sure to take a ride out to each of these great tracks
sometime this summer to dial in your lines and be ready for the season-ending events.
Results are updated on the RESULTS page.
If you see anything that's incorrect, let me know and I'll check it out.

Masters of Motocross was started
in 2007 to provide races that give us more time on the track and less time at the track. For 2009, there
will be classes for 25+, 30+, 40+, 45+, 50+ and 60+ riders. In addition, the 250/450 Support (combined),
Collegeboy, and Schoolboy classes will be run as Masters MX classes for 2009 with series-end awards and payout just like
the age classes.
