The Masters MX Schedule for 2009 is as follows:

Masters Motocross 2009
 1.  Budds Creek      4/4
 2. Tomahawk          5/9
 3. Tomahawk          6/6

 Our 2009 schedule reflects:
  • All Masters MX races are on Saturday
  • No races during the summer months of July and August
  • No races on national holidays or national events (amateur or pro)
  • Minimal conflict with other district and/or track events
Masters MX ran stand-alone for the first time in 2008, and while turnout was decent at most events, particpation needs to grow in order for this to be a win-win deal with our track owners.     Your help in spreading the word is needed; pass this information and the web site to your riding buddies as a start.    Have them contact MastersMX@verizon.net and provide their e-mail addresses so everyone can be kept updated.

We are revamping the program in 2009 to combine our race event with an open practice forum so that the turnout for a ride day can be added to the turnout for the Masters MX races.     The program structure is below, and the Masters MX "brand" remains the same: more time on the track, less time at the track!   With the 2009 structure, we can arrive later, have more practice time, keep the 15/20 minute moto standard, and still end the day at a decent hour.     Look it over and see what you think of this as a unique approach for a combined program.     Other key info for 2009:

(a)  no moto drops at year-end (since we're down to 5 race events)

(b) Moto finishes will not be adjusted to remove non-series participants.    Only series participants are eligible for year-end awards, just like always.

(c)  The 250/450 Support class (combined) will be run as a Masters MX series class, eligible for awards at year-end for those who join.

(d)  35+A / 35+B will not be run due to low turnout and in order to allow combinations that keep the day short
