We are so saddened and sorry to say that on Friday December 16th 2005, Rick passed away. We will miss him very
much. He was our dear friend and BROTHER. We will miss him forever. May he rest in peace... although we suspect he is probably
trying to get the angels to play their harps a little more funky while he bangs out a beat. Goodbye friend!
----------------------------------------
Rick was a huge part of 'A WEEK AGO SATURDAY'. He was a man of many talents, he was a Drummist, a Singer,
and a Teacher.... Without Rick we would not have become who we are.
----------------------------------------
Through life you meet many people, some of those people become your friends. Some of those people will become
part of you and who you are in many ways, mentally and emotionally. Rick became all of this with us. As many musicians
know, when you play music with someone, very often you form an emotional bond or attachment to that person. A little
of Rick will always be with us, inside us, in our hearts, minds and souls... a bit of Rick will always be in our emotions
when we play, it is something we will have no control over even if we tried. In many ways Rick lives on, not just in us, but
in every person that he has ever touched emotionally, He was a man with an enormous spirit.. In a way, he is still with us,
not in body, but in soul, his positive energy will linger for a very long time. When he left us that evening and
walked peacefully into Gods loving arms, we lost our brother, a part of ourselves that we will only regain on our final
day. We are proud to have had him as our friend and brother. We will never forget him and will always hold him dear in our
hearts. We'll miss him everyday until we meet him again...
