One Thing Is Certain

Surrounded by uncertainties,

My future is assured,

One thing is certain and will stand,

What’s promised in God’s Word.

Our earth may shake and mountains fall

And drop into the sea,

But on the Solid Rock I stand;

My God will protect me.

Though winds may come and blow away

Earth’s treasures held in hand,

My Lord will yet supply my needs;

My God is in command.

While trials may oft assail my soul

As on this earth I trod,

I’m more than conqueror in Christ;

I serve a mighty God.

When darkness comes to veil the light

And sorrow does assail,

My heart will find joy in the Lord;

His love will never fail.
