Under
God’s Wings
The
mother hen gathered her chicks,
Covering
with each wing,
Just
as the rains came pouring down
And
howling winds did sing.
It
mattered not that she was drenched
From
pouring rains that fell;
Her
sole concern was for her chicks
That
they were safe and well.
Unselfishly
she faced the storm
Till
harsh winds ceased to blow
While
underneath protective wings
Each
chick stayed safe below.
A
symbol of our Father’s love
Amidst
storms that we face,
For
He spreads His wings of mercy
And
shelters with His grace.
Our
Heavenly Father gathers
Us
close unto His breast
That
we might know peace in the storm
And
find in Him sweet rest.
We
rest secure—No storm to fear;
No,
nothing can alarm.
Protected
by His wings of grace
We’re
kept safe in the storm.
