Our Fairfax Residence

Update

We finally got the lower deck screened in. We've wanted to enjoy our lovely back yard and the view of the lake, but with all that water around there were usually too many bugs. We thought of several possible solutions but the most sensible seemed to be to just put some screens aroung the central area of the lower deck. That was finally accomplished this fall and here are some pictures to show you what it looks like.

Front View Our home in Fairfax is particularly beautiful in the spring. You can see the large azalea bushes in bloom here and the trees with their fresh new leaves.

The front yard includes a small but very pretty Koi pond. Later in the spring a water lily will bloom, but it's too early in this picture.

Back yard The back yard also has many flowers and in particular more azaleas. In the background, through the trees you can see the small lake that our property borders on.
One of the neat features about the house is that both floors on the backside look out toward the lake. We have a double story deck on the back. It's bright and sunny on the upper level deck and nice and shady on the lower level. Two level deck in the back
