Marco is a mixed breed dog. He's part Australian Shepherd and part something else, possibly Spaniel. As his doctor put it, "He's a whole dog long, but only half a dog high" but Marco doesn't mind. Well, he doesn't mind except when it comes to going up or down the stairs. The wood is slippery and sometimes negotiating the stairs on short legs can be a problem. Still, he's a happy dog and is full of love. But he guards the house fiercely and is ready to protect his people from any intruders. He may be only 40 pounds, but he's got a full-sized head and full-sized teeth and he has a bigger than full-sized bark. He thinks the cat is OK, but he'd be a lot more fun if he'd play run and chase games.
