The MFCA Show and Mart is one of the largest shows of its kind in the world. There is a large display area of miniature figures and models. Most of the figures are of connoisseur quality, miniatures works of art in a variety fo scales from a few inches in height to almost a foot tall. Some are single figures on foot or horse and some are arranged as groups. Others are models of tanks, ships and planes in all the most common scales. There are even a few box dioramas, miniature stagings of historic scenes. Artists come from all over the world to attend and display. Visitors from Canada, Great Britain, France, Spain and Italy are common. In recent years there have been hundreds of displays. The area is divided into sections and awards in the form of certificates and medals are given for the best work. A list of awards is posted elsewhere. There is a modest charge to enter the contest to defray some of the cost. There is a special area for those who want to display their work may be uncomfortable competing with the master artists of the world. Of course the Grand Masters often display but are only allowed to compete for Gold Medals.

If this was not enough there is a giant sales area with nearly one hundred dealers on over two hundred tables selling everything for the hobbyist. Painted and unpainted figures from around the world are available including those beautiful figures from Russia. New and old toy soldiers are present. Books for the lover of military history and tools for the modeler. Used and new figures and collections are available for sale by private collectors and large dealers.

For the first time visitor it is an awesome experience and for many collectors it is an event not to be missed..

In 2006 we had about 1400 attendees, 80 vendors and hundreds of displays. This year promises to be even better.
