Late 1960s to Mid 1970s Saddles and Seatposts Found on Peugeot Bicycles
ADGA 28A and Ideale 39 Saddles
The ADGA 28A saddle was commonly found on the low-end AO, UO and UE bicycles. The Ideale 39 saddle
was less commonly found. They were mounted with an unmarked steel clamp on a 22 mm x 19.5 cm chromed
steel seatpost that fit into a seat tube shim. For those of you wanting a longer seatpost, the United 22.0
mm x 30 cm unicycle seatpost sold by Unicycle.com works well. When the shim is removed, the seat tube accepts a
25.6 mm seatpost. The clamp was often used with the saddle railing guides in the 'down' position, so when the clamp
slipped the seatpost bored into the underside of the saddle.
