PHX10
1959-1961
The PX10 was preceded by the PHX10, which was different mostly in name. The PHX10 first appeared in the Peugeot
1959 French brochure. Below is a mint 1960 PHX10 from Peter Kohler's collection, serial number 703003.

PX10
1961 to 1963
I believe the PX10 was first offered in either 1960 or 1961. It is shown in Peugeot's 1961-62 French catalog,
but not 1959 brochure. I do not yet have the 1960 brochure.
Below are the PX10 pages from the 1961-62 Cycles Peugeot Catalogue Pieces Detachees Et Accessoires, Velo, published in
October, 1962.

This is a beautiful example of a 1962 Peugeot PX10, serial number 125107. Many of the components are original.
Thanks to André Depetris of France for sharing these photos.

This is another beautiful example of a 1962 Peugeot PX10, serial number 935103. The head tube decal is
missing, otherwise in mint condition. Most of the components are original. Thanks to Peter Kohler for
sharing these photos of his pug.

1964 to 1970
Below are the PX10 pages from the 1963-64 Cycles Peugeot Catalogue de Pieces Detachees Bicyclette, published in
October 1964, and the 1966 Cycles Peugeot Pieces Detachees Bicyclette, published in October 1966. The familiar
checkerboard pattern and Record du Monde declaration on the seat tube were first used by the Cycles Peugeot racing team in
1963 and available to the public in 1964 according to USA and French literature.

This is a beautiful example of a late 1960's/1970 Peugeot PX10, serial number 835433. Many,
but not all of the components are original (e.g., period-correct Suntour derailleurs). The bicycle is fully functional
and ridden biweekly. Thanks to Ron Lau for sharing these photos of his
brother's PX10. The down tube Peugeot decal photo is of Peter Kohler's 1969 PX10.

1971
1972
Below is the PX10 page from the 1972 Cycles Peugeot Catalogue Pieces Detachees Et Accessoires, Bicyclette,
published in January 1973. In 1972, the PX10 was offered with only the Nervex DuBois cut lugs, not the Nervex Professional
lugs offered previously.

Here is Robert Markwardt's 1972 PX10. Not only does his bicycle closely match the PX10 shown in the 1972
Cycles Peugeot Catalogue Pieces Detachees et Accessoires Bicyclette manual, its serial number is 2477996 and there is a '72'
date code on the rear derailleur. You can see more of his 'herd' at http://flickr.com/photos/77502424@N00/sets/72157606340462594/. Thanks to Robert for permission to use these photos on the BikeBoomPeugeot website.
