This is the ICE REPORT page of our site. Our purpose here is to provide information about the River's condition during
the Winter months.
Jan 17 2009: The Winter season has finally arrived in the Delaware Valley.
Cold tempertures dipped into single digits and we experienced the coldest weather in years. Ice is slowly forming on the edges
of the Delaware and it's tributaries. Big Timber Creek has large amount of ice, but the main channel is still open for passage.
JAN 27. Keith, riding over the river on Patco, reports ice flows in the river and a slight
build up on the shores. The main channel remains open.
Feb 8 2009: Unseasonal warm temperatures arrived this weekend and melted most of the surrounding
snow and river edge ice. I would'nt break out the swimwear just yet. It is February, a most unforgiving month of winter weather.
Feb 21 Ice is a non factor and everything is go for today's trip. The crew will commence
shuttles after 1:00pm. For more information contact me at the hardware store.
Nov 4 2009..ok there's no ice now, why would there be? It's the Fall. Check back in the Winter
