Upcoming Events THE NEXT TRIP IS March 17-18 2012. This is our "Winter" trip although Winter has been very dissappointing
this year with nary a snow flake seen. March may be true to its name and come in like a Lion and show us some power. We will
see.
The tide schedule is somewhat favorable for sat. afternoon with a high tide at 10:16am and dead low at 5:15 pm. So a
shuttle service mid day should not be a problem. Plan your trip to be on the beach during the early afternoon daylight
hours. The Sunday tide is also good with an 11:15am high tide so the departure should be less work with good water
into the early afternoon.
The Winter trip is more of an endurance event when we test our skills against the weather conditions. The general attendance
is much lighter than the Nov. trip. This trip appears to be much the same with expected turnout below 10 crew. There may be
more geese on the Island than pirates.
THERE IS NO OVERNIGHT PARKING ON THE BEACH. THERE IS NOW A DUSK TILL DAWN CURFEW /NO
TRESPASSING ON THE BEACH AREA. TICKETS ARE GIVEN OUT WITH COURT APPEARANCES. (we know only too well) ALL SHUTTLE SERVICE IS
DURING DAYLIGHT AFTERNOON HOURS ONLY !

| Memories of THE BOAT...pirate ownership 1978-2009 |
This boat gave us all more fun than should be allowed by any law. A mere $50.00 initial investment turned a group of
young men, back into teenagers, with no good common or uncommon sense. Through Island trips, white water trips, explorations,sea
excursions,fishing trips, crabbing trips, parades,and numerous breakdowns on land and water. The boat created many stupid
adventures that have me laughing just thinking about them. In all types of weather, rain,snow,blazing sun, sleet,icebergs,even
oil tankers from foreign countries, this boat was unstoppable. It was always popular with the local authorities, who wasted
no time in pulling us over and boarding the boat and inspecting it.(like it was'nt safe,,come'on..) THE PIRATE BOAT was THE
boat on the river. Unique. On a level by itself. We will miss the Boat.

Another Winter trip to the Island. After nearly 30 years we now strongly believe that our crew is the ONLY group
of people in the entire Delaware Valley that camps in the Winter on the Island. Imagine that, less than 10 people out of Millions
in the area. You'd have a better chance of buying a winning lottery ticket.
Industrial camping with pirates of the Delaware. Stumbling drunks,Star's End,bad juju,a wasteland awaits you for your listening
