A brief history of Prudence Lodge No. 11

Constituted 1849, At present date the lodge is 157 years old. In 1854 meetings were held at Seventh & Market St. in Phila PA. In 1857 they moved to 409 S. 11TH St. in Phila PA then to the Temple located on 17th & Diamond St. and now resides at 4301 N. Broad St. Phila, PA

 

Four Grand Masters provided leadership from Prudence Lodge No. 11

1. Nathaniel Durham - 1866-1867

2. William Cooper - 1870-1871

3. William H. Miller - 1883-1885 (First Most Worshipful GrandMaster of the entire state of Penna.) He entered the craft in June 1865 and passed in June 1938 at the age of 107 years old.

4. Hobson R. Reynolds - 1947-1948
