Govt 101

Welcome to this experiment in self government called the USA.

To make it work correctly, people must be educated, productive,

and believe in the principles of our founding documents.

Summed up in just a few words: freedom

to pursue life, liberty, and happiness as you see it.

As long as your freedom doesn't hinder my

freedom, that's cool. Step over that line and

you have a big problem on your hands.

'All men are created equal' means

no elite class, caste system, or royal titles.

It does not mean that life should be a

level playing field and what I earn is yours too.

Then, somewhere and somehow something changed.

Folks became spoiled and lazy and demanded things from

their government that government had no right getting into.

The government then took power away from the people

under the guise of 'we're helping you, we're protecting you...'

Make English the official language of all government functions.

Get off of imports. Buy American, when possible.

Stop our wealth and jobs from leaving our country.

Drill for oil here in America - now.

Build refineries and power plants.

Explore and develope alternative sources of energy.

Stop all taxes on energy, income, the death tax,

and investments and go to a national sales tax.

Have term limits for all elected officials.

Defend our national borders.

Don't mess with our 'Bill Of Rights'.

If you are in the USA illegally, go home.

We don't want you here.

We're tired of you costing us billions of dollars and trying to make

America into your dirty little third world country.

We're not right-wing fanatics. We're good old-fashioned, hard working, tax paying,

American loving patriots wanting to see our country return to the values that made this country special in the first place.

Over the years, we've seen our government underminded by special interests, political hacks, unions, big business, socialists,

the greedy, the lazy, the selfish, illegals, perverts, and the power hungry. We've had enough...

We are free souls. Our life comes from God.

Each soul is a small, incomplete manifestation of an aspect of God's unlimited and glorious personallity.

This is what makes life sacred. As 'children' of God, we are given the chance to chose right or wrong, good or sin.

This is our birthright. Direction might come from the Spirit, family, church, education, and mores

but 'rights' are not 'given' by the state but by the Creator.

Our Constitution leaves the power in the hands of the people.

What powers are needed to make society work are then loaned by the people to the state.

Then to make this union of states work together correctly, very little power is then loaned to the federal government.

Kind of like an upside down pyramid, with the federal government at the bottom.

Every generation needs a new revolution.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means.

I think the best way of doing good to the poor,

is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it.

In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different countries,

that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less

they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer.

And, on the contrary, the less was done for them,

the more they did for themselves, and became richer.
