Bill Mallonee is one of the best writers since Dylan. I know
you've heard
that before but this time, it's true. I stumbled across his
work while exploring
Mark Heard's music and production credits (when Killing Floor
came out).
At that time Bill was still working with his great band Vigilantes
Of Love.
Vigilantes were a revolving door with many talented musicians
coming and
going but always with Bill at the helm. His solo work is even
better.
Bill's tunes go beyond the meat market music dribble heard
on AM radio.
