Today's concrete pour

Did a bit of clean up, and put down what I will use for expansion joints.  Looks very colorful - pink & light blue styrofoam - but it will be covered with concrete anyway.

 

Rained all weekend.  Had to cancel the delivery of concrete - Hopefully it will occur this coming weekend - April 29th.

 

As a side-note, on Saturday I purchased a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive for the 'Blue Goose' - via Ebay.  It will probably be a late summer or winter project. & should help highway performance of the truck.

- Spent a few hours this week putting this site together, while waiting for the weekend.  A lot more to do here, and eventually this will all probably be re-done anyway.

 

- Have ordered 9 cu yds of concrete  (4000 psi, w/fiber - so I shouldn't need rebar or wire mesh) delivered this weekend - hopefully.  Won't know if the company contracted to mix & deliver the concrete will be working Saturday, I have to call in the AM on Friday (tomorrow) to confirm. 

Area has been prepared and forms have been 'down' for months, waiting for good weather.  Have some local friends & my son-in-law coming over to provide 'manpower' for the event.
