BUSINESS LAW
Understanding Business and personal Law
Marriage Contracts.

Getting married is one of the most important events in a person's life. It is the emotional and spiritual bonding of two people who love each other and wish to spend the rest of their lives together. A prenuptial agreement is an agreement between prospective spouses that specifies details concerning real estate, insurance polices, wills, and children.

If you were getting married, would you ask your prospective spouse to sign a prenuptial agreement? Why or why not?

Terror threat in London left air travelers stranded.

Fighting continues in Mideast
Aug. 12: Fighting raged in Lebanon on Saturday, even as Israeli, Lebanese and Hezbollah leaders said they were prepared to accept a U.N. cease-fire resolution.

What are your opinions about this war?

A ceasefire agreement is in place and the Israelis are withdrawing their troops. I hope cessation of hostilities lasts forever;this region has been volatile for decades. According to en.wikepedia.org, the rationale behind the attack on Lebanon by Israel was to rid Lebanon of the Hezbollah army.
The major losers here are the millions of civilians (Israeli and Lebanese) that went on exile, displaced by the fighting. "Can't we all get along?"

THIS WEEK'S PROBLEM OF THE WEEK:

John has 98 coins in his bank made up of dimes and quarters. The total value of the coins is $18.50. How many of each coin does he have?

Last Week's Problem of the Week:
Antonio earns $8.25 per hour at his job. He also makes $12.38 per hour for any number of hours over 40 that he works in one week. He worked 40 hours last week, plus some overtime, and made $385.71. How many overtime hours did he work?
Thanks for for your participation.
The winner of last week's Problem of the Week was Jessica Bernardo
This is her solution to the problem:
8.25 times 40 equals 330.00 therefore 55.71 is left.  55.71 divided by 12.38 equals 4.5.  Hence Antonio worked 4.5 overtime hours.
