The Journey Begins
For two years, I envisioned a woman fighting for her life, using every weapon she possessed.
The more the dream plagued me, the more I thought about her. What events brought her to the brink of death? Would
she survive? What did her future hold?
I spent four months writing her story. During the following four years, I studied writing.
(Yes, I have a tendency to do things backwards.) Each new tool resulted in another draft. Then I let her gather
dust on my hard drive as I moved onto new heroes and heroines, different eras, different scenarios.
Yet Kasey and Connor lingered on my mind. They lingered in my critique partners minds, too,
for Medieval Maidens of Mayhem and Mischief continued to badger me about submitting the story. I finally gave in.
It's my pleasure to announce The Wild Rose Press will publish Every
Heart Has Its Day in 2008.
