What's Happening on the Long Island Car Scene

By now you know, the Saturday night Commack Kohl's meet was shut down on the account of fast food deli sandwiches don't get along with wieners.

From Charger Andy: The American Red Cross, Suffolk County Chapter, is organizing a rally from their headquarters in Yaphank to Tanner Park on October 11, 2009. To be in the rally, you have to be at the American Red Cross in Yaphank well before the 10 AM start time. There is no entry fee; donations will be accepted. This is not a race; the plans are to roll with a police escort from Yaphank to Tanner Park.

From Hemi Dave: The new Saturday Night Cruisin Spot is in West Islip. It's at the Bob's Store and McDonald's on Sunrise Highway across from Herbee Dodge...just west of the Robert Moses Causeway. We have permission from the property owner and the manager's of both stores. So get your cars in gear and get over to the new location next Saturday night. Hope to see you there.
