WEB UPDATE for 2011

To our fantastic membership of over 600 strong from your webmaster.

Thanks for your patience this year with our club website. As some of you may know, we have been embarking on a new site, one that takes this club to a level that it deserves.  We now have our own domain name, www.longislandmopars.com, and along with it, features that will enhance the browsing experience.  Your new webmaster is busy at work designing the new site, and should have it completely up and running by the end of April, just in time for the 2011 car season.  We have had two events already; Hot Rod Burger King and Gran Prix Chrysler.  Many thanks to our club president for sending out the event emails and the classified emails.  Its a lot of work for one person, so when you see Rich at a meet, please extend a warm thanks to him for keeping the messages flowing.

I regret not having been able to devote time to the website this year, as my dad succumbed to his cancer in January and its been very rough on me to deal with the loss of both parents less than 18 months apart. Dad was a Mopar man, so be on the lookout when I get his 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 SE running and making the cruise night scene.  It will be my tribute to my dad, whom I miss everyday.

Thanks for being the club members that you are.  You're the best.

Andy
