Spotsylvania Battlefields Coalition Twelve national and local nonprofit groups have formed the "Spotsylvania Battlefields
Coalition", a partnership of preservation, conservation and civic organizations whose goal is to promote the long-term
preservation of Civil War Battlefields in Spotsylvania.
Central Virginia Battlefield Trust The Central Virginia Battlefields Trust, Inc. (CVBT), a non-profit historic lands
trust, was established in 1996 to stand up to the mindless destruction of fields where thousands fought and died. Its two-fold
mission: (1) To purchase significant Civil War battlefields and landmarks, both in fee and in easement, to preserve them in
perpetuity. (2) To serve as a facilitator and advocate for battlefield preservation on a local, state, and federal level.
The Friends of the Wilderness Battlefield The Friends of the Wilderness Battlefield was formed in 1995. Our purpose
is to work in partnership with the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park to preserve our historic resources
in and around the Wilderness Battlefield.
Spotsylvania Battlefield Education Association The Spotsylvania Battlefield Education Association has been organized to research,
analyze and disseminate information regarding the battle fought at Spotsylvania Court House and its environs. Emphasis
is on areas not contained within the boundaries of the Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park.
Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park In 1927 the U.S. Congress established Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Memorial
National Military Park to commemorate the heroic deeds of the men engaged at the battles of Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville,
Wilderness, and Spotsylvania Court House. Today the park also includes the historic structures of Chatham, Ellwood, Salem
Church, and the "Stonewall" Jackson Shrine.

Advisory Council on Historic Preservation The ACHP, an independent federal agency, promotes the preservation, enhancement,
and productive use of the nation's historic resources and advises the President and Congress on national historic preservation
policy. It also provides a forum for influencing federal activities, programs, and policies that impact historic
properties. In addition, the ACHP has a key role in carrying out the Administration's Preserve America program.
Fredericksburg Regional Preservation Trust This corporation is organized to encourage responsible stewardship of historic
resources through education, research, documentation and knowledge sharing. It seeks to promote a broader awareness
of the Fredericksburg region's distinctive historical characteristics.
George Washington's Fredericksburg Foundation George Washington's Fredericksburg Foundation (formerly The Kenmore Association,
Inc.) founded in 1922, is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to preservation and education. Today, the Foundation
owns and operates two properties, Historic Kenmore and George Washington's Ferry Farm.
Master Gardner Association of the Central Rappahannock Area MGACRA offers assistance in horticulture and related areas to the people of the
Central Rappahannock area in cooperation with, and supervised by, the Virginia Cooperative Extension offices in Caroline,
King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties and the Virginia Tech Office of Environmental Horticulture. MGACRA
promotes and sponsors horticultural education activities for children and adults.
Rural Heritage Program Part of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Rural Heritage Program
is dedicated to the recognition and protection of rural historic and cultural resources. Through educational programs,
publications, and technical assistance, the RHP supports the efforts of rural communities across the country to both preserve
and live with their heritage.
American Farmland Trust American Farmland Trust is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1980 to
protect our nation's farmland. AFT works to stop the loss of productive farmland and to promote farming practices
that lead to a healthy environment.

University of Mary Washington The University of Mary Washington was one of the first academic institutions in
America to establish an undergraduate curriculum in historic preservation and the first to establish an independent Department
of Historic Preservation--now the largest undergraduate program of its kind in the nation.
Stratford Hall "The Birthplace of Robert E. Lee" The Robert E. Lee Memorial Association is dedicated to preservation, research
and education. The Association interprets to the public Stratford Hall and the plantation life of the Lee Family,
whose ideals and leadership helped shape democracy in the United States.
Monticello "The Home of Thomas Jefferson" Founded in 1923, the Thomas Jefferson Foundation is the private, nonprofit organization
that owns and operates Monticello. The Foundation's dual mission is preservation and education. Monticello
is the only house in America on the United Nations' prestigious World Heritage List of sites that must be protected at all
costs.
Mount Vernon Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, is owned and maintained by the Mount
Vernon Ladies’ Association. Founded in 1853, it is the oldest historic preservation organization in the United
States.
Virginia Department of Historic Resources The Virginia Department of Historic Resources is the State Historic Preservation
Office. Our mission is to foster, encourage, and support the stewardship of Virginia's significant historic, architectural,
archaeological, and cultural resources.
The Library of Virginia The Library of Virginia Foundation, a private, nonprofit corporation supporting
the Library of Virginia, was established in 1984. The Foundation promotes and supports the Library of Virginia
in all activities.
Virginia Tourism Corporation The Virginia Tourism Authority (dba the VTC) serves the broader interests of Virginia's
economy by supporting, maintaining, and expanding the Commonwealth's domestic and international travel market and motion picture
production.
