Baltimore FOP3 Motorcycle Ride Oct 18 Reminder
Just a reminder to let everyone know that Oct 18th is a week away and we are finalizing FOP3’s First
Annual Motorcycle Ride. Refreshments will be served during registration time which will be held between 8am to 9:45am. The
ride will begin at 10am sharp traveling up Falls Rd. through the beautiful scenic areas of Baltimore County and ending at
the Lodge for a free hamburger and hot dog lunch.
Pre- Registration has been extended to Oct 14th for riders and sponsors. This will allow sufficient time for
the T-shirt Company to place our sponsors’ names on the back of the shirts. We all know business people who would like
to show their support and have their name placed on our commemorative T-Shirt so don’t forget to remind them before
the deadline (Sponsor cost $100). All proceeds go to
Lodge 3’s Distress Fund which is designed to assist our members it times of need. Those who have been
recipients will certainly attest to the benefits derived from the assistance. As our fund grows so does our ability to assist
those in need. We all know that the road of life is unpredictable and full of twist, turns, dead ends, and tragedies there
is never a question as to weather you will face life’s adversity only when. Show your support and pass the ride information
on to those you know who like to ride and those who support our officers.
"Fly the Blue" Blue Ribbon Campaign
During National Police Week, COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors)encourages the display of blue ribbons
on car antennas.
Law enforcement personnel are encouraged to tie blue ribbons to cruiser antennas. Citizens are encouraged
to tie blue ribbons to their car antennas. These blue ribbons are a reminder of law enforcement personnel who have made the
ultimate sacrifice and in honor of those men and women who serve their communities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year in
and year out. Any strip of royal blue ribbon will work

Fallen Heroes Day is Observed Annually at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens on the First Friday in May
Fallen Heroes Day is a meaningful opportunity to commemorate the members of Maryland’s Public Safety Community that
lose their lives in the line of duty. You are encouraged to attend to honor our Fallen Heroes, support their survivors, and
to thank our Everyday Heroes.
Fallen Heroes Day is observed annually at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens on the first
Friday in May.
******************************************************************************

Each May, we reflect on those who have died in the line of duty during National Police Week. Although
only one week of the year is set aside for this special remembrance, the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice
are fresh in our thoughts and prayers every day. We remember the fallen men and women fondly, and each has left a legacy of
bravery and honor with the law enforcement community. We also must remember and comfort their families, who were left with
irreplaceable losses in their lives.
