This is a short story set in the Transformers' universe, published in THE TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS edited by David Cian, who invited me to submit a story. This is an anthology of original stories based on this popular TV series and toy line. Not one for the smash-and-grab type of object quest stories for which the Transformers are known, I decided to explore the various series and some of the mythology behind them. Interesting note: my first job was at Toys R Us, where I was the stockperson responsible for action figures, including the original Transformers figures. Among a number of Transformer fan websites, fan feedback has been very positive. These very knowledgeable fans have reported that my story works very well within the established TV continuity, and explored an interesting aspect of Autobot leader Optimus Prime.
