"Holiday"
Hall of Fame Banquet Awards Ceremonies
Saturday, November 17, 2012, @ "6 P.M."
Grand Ballroom of The Forge Caterers Banquet Center
Located: Route 9, North, Woodbridge, N.J.
Dear Colleagues, Once again we look forward to having our close associates
and new acquaintances together for another of our Annual "Holiday" Banquets and Hall of Fame Awards Ceremonies.
Using this event as the platform of the International Association of Martial
Artists, it is an event that offers you an opportunity to reward your Black Belts, Students, and Associates Men, Women, and
Children alike, with the recognition they deserve for their efforts and accomplishments in the Martial Arts.
It is your opportunity to designate the Honoree’s of the night by
selecting from the list of suggested nominations, or if you have a “Special” Honor/Designation that you would
like to have someone receive, you may write in “in your own words”, the title of the Award.
There are other Martial Arts Halls of Fame large and small that we have
all been to, and each has done a great job in terms of organizational efforts, and carry their own flavoring and following.
Each of these has been a great experience to interface, learn, and make new acquaintances.
We at IAMA, look forward to maintaining, and building upon the established
standards of dignity, and quality in our presentations that go back over 50 years between the First Championships, Kick
Boxing, and now our Golden Years offering these recognitions that the upcoming Stars of the Martial Arts will carry into the
future.
For the Legendary Martial Artists that have not joined with us in the past,
this years Banquet will be an opportunity to catch up with them with the Spotlight they deserve as they are Honored in front
of all of our Associates.
For members/last years awardee’s of your circle that have grown over
the past year and have had additional accomplishments that are noteworthy and you would like to have them recognized with
an IAMA Plaque, they may be endorsed again this year with your approval.
This year as you can see, we have moved into the expeditious accomadation
of Age of Cyber/Computerized processes.
“New Awardee's and Prior years Returning Inductee’s
and Awardees” can have their Honors Updated "CHOICE" ON our Eagle Plaques "OR" Honors Engraved
on our “Special designed Classic Edition SR-7 Identification Bracelet. Bracelet Recipients also receive a Certificate
suitable for Framing.
If at first the Shihans, and Senseis have questions about pulling (downloading)
these forms, we are sure you will have a Computer "Geeko" :) close by to help in the process.
We look forward to seeing our New and Returning Legends, Pioneers, Fighters,
Black Belts and Students that we have become familiar with over the past 50+ years.
Yours truly
Gary R. Alexander,

Now that the Martial Arts number as much as 80% of most Schools capacity in Youngsters as young as “little

realize, the pat on the back and the motivations they deserve for their efforts in, and on behalf of, the Martial Arts, Dojo’s,
and Instructors. A good way to say thank you. Where else will they get an experience such as this(?).

I.A.M.A. “Holiday” Hall of Fame Banquet & Awards
Ceremonies
Saturday, November 17, 2012, @ 6 P.M.
The Grand Ballroom of The Forge Caterers and Banquet Center
Route 9, North, Woodbridge, N.J.
KEEP AND BRING FOR REFERENCE! …. YOU WILL NEED THIS
INFORMATION FOR OUR OUT OF TOWN TRAVELERS
Please keep this reference with you to help you navigate
around this area during your visit.
Please note: Thank
you for coming to this years IAMA Awards Banquet.
With the number of people flying in etc. we do have “very limited resources”
to provide transport around, and rely on our Guests to be as crafty as possible to get around on their own recognizance.
I am sure that you understand how busy “yours truly” is going to be
throughout the Friday night and Saturday and locked into the logistical preparations for the Banquet.
But, with this said, we will do the best we can to assist you in your trip in
getting around the “small” circle involved for activities. (See attached Map Sketch)
Some methods of cartage available to you would be :
A ) The Van at the Hilton Iselin or Renaissance Hotel going to the Forge in the evening (5 P.M.).
B) Alternate
would be “Scooters” Taxi Service at 732-738-1700,
right there in Woodbridge (perhaps double up),
rates to/from Newark Airport $45.00 (Call when you hit the ground an give them 20 minutes to get there. To/from Renaissance to Forge $8.00
C) Get
to know, and hitch a ride with other Mobilized Attending Martial Artist
Recommended Facilities for overnight are as follows:
We have recommended two specific facilities for our attendees to consider staying at in order to be close and maneuverable
with each other without complications or unnecessary costs and as a gathering place to casually socialize with one another
on site pre Banquet.
1) HILTON ISELIN, NJ, Wood Avenue, This is a Full Service
Hotel OPEN RATES APPLY asap - Call: 732-494-6200
or
RENAISSANCE HOTEL(Formerly Sheraton) located on Route 1, Iselin/Woodbridge, This is a Full Service Hotel (1 Mile from Banquet) Call: 732-634-3600, OPEN RATES APPLY asap - Call: 732-636-0300

If you do drive out of the Airport watch the signs "very closely" or you
will be lost in Port Newark and not fun.
You want to follow the signs "EXIT" (of course) and ROUTE 1 SOUTH. Pretty
much you want to “guide left” lane throughout the departure.
You may have a GPS which will guide you to the “Forge” or “Renaissance”
which is 20 minutes South on Route 1 (depends on traffic).
However for a sight fix, straight down Route 1 about 15 minutes, watch
for sign to ROUTE 9 SOUTH to the left adjacent and QUARTER MILE you will PASS THE FORGE on your left.
Continue straight ahead HALF MILE to OVERPASS U-TURN coming back up the
Route 9 North side back to the Forge three quarters of a mile to the right.
AS A MARKER, returning you will come over the NJ Turnpike and the Forge
will be another few hundred yards to the right. Opposite the Forge is a tall HESS BLDG to the left side that you just came
past traveling South.
